Why Cricket District XI
About us:
Cricket District XI
I started Cricket District in my first-year room at University because I wanted to grow the game I love. I was bored of the endless analysis and editorial that formed online cricket coverage, so decided to shake things up a bit. Focusing on social-first content, I have built an audience of over 300,000 highly engaged cricket fans around the world.
Cricket fans are underserved by traditional media. Fans like me want to see an incredible catch from a village match just as much as they want to watch Ben Stokes in a Test. I get sent epic videos every day on Cricket District, from garden cricket clips to incredible shots in a club game. These clips regularly exceed 100,000 views, with fans from the UK, Australia and India all sharing their opinions. We now create our own videos, including short documentaries on the best cricket grounds in the world and highlights of our very own Cricket District XI.
Cricket District is the voice of young cricket fans. It’s the home of cricket culture, and we’re only just getting started.
